About Balanzea

BALANZEA is a free mobile application that allows its users to automatically donate (through solidarity rounding) to one or more NGOs or social enterprises, thus contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (hereinafter, SDGs).

With BALANZEA, every time you make a purchase with your bank card, you will be able to compensate your consumption with the micro-donations made through solidarity rounding. This rounding will automatically go to the project you chose when you created your profile.

BALANZEA is a private company, with legal form SL (limited liability company) created in Madrid, in October 2021 with the aim of giving life to your mobile application.

Solidarity rounding = Micro donations with positive social impact

Once you create your profile, connect your bank and your credit/debit card in the BALANZEA app, the rounding will occur automatically. You don't have to worry about anything.

From now on, every time you make a payment with the chosen bank card, the APP will make the rounding up to the top euro of your purchase and will allocate it to the entity you have chosen at the time of downloading. Yes, it's that easy and incredible! Without realizing it, you will be, at the same time that you spend, donating those cents that are left over from your purchase and compensating the impact of your consumption.

Here is an example: if you make a purchase of 28.70 euros at the supermarket, BALANZEA will round up those 0.30 cents and send them directly to the organization and projects you have chosen.

At the end of each day, the round-ups are accumulated and when you reach the minimum amount of 3.50 euros, your account will be debited. This helps us to reduce bank fees and make more money go directly to the projects. Remember: If you don't reach 3,50 € in one day, your rounding up will be accumulated for the next day.

No. All functionalities are free of charge for you 🙂

Our application works with all European banks with which the TINK platform works click to view banks

BALANZEA complies with the European PSD2 regulation for electronic payments, so you don't have to worry about your security, as it is fundamental for our team.

At BALANZEA, one of our values is transparency, and that is why we consider it important for users to know how we are financed.

Our funding comes from the NGOs and social enterprises with which we collaborate.

25% on donations received, always on success! When you make a donation, the NGO or social enterprise receives 100% of it. And every 3 months, the BALANZEA team issues an invoice corresponding to the agreed % of the total received.

With this % we manage to keep improving the app and your experience as a user, to be an alternative way of funding for NGOs and social enterprises with which we collaborate, to reach more people and to keep giving work to our team and suppliers that make BALANZEA work and exist.

Donations and projects

Tax deductions for donations to NGOs are a benefit that can be enjoyed by all persons who donate to non-profit organizations that have the capacity to issue donation certificates (in Spain). If you donate to an NGO declared of "public utility" and provide us with your tax information you will be able to deduct up to 80% of your donation*.

You will only be able to deduct donations made to one of the entities that can do so. This does not mean that the rest of the entities are a worse option, because they are smaller entities that due to their recent creation cannot issue this type of certificates yet, but they also need your help.

80% of all your donations up to the first 150€. From €150 onwards: 40% if you have donated in the two previous years an amount equal to or greater than the previous year. 35% in all other cases. For example, if you donate €150 to one of the Balance A+ entities, you can deduct up to €120 (80%). You can pay up to €30 for a donation of €150. If for example you donate a total of 200€, you can deduct 80% of the first 150€ (120€) and 35% of the next 50€ (17,50€). So from a donation of €200 you could recover up to €137.50. These conditions may vary in the Basque Country and Navarra. If you want to know more you can consult article 19 of the Ley de Mezenazgo or Las deducciones por donativos de la Agencia Tributaria.

The BALANZEA team will contact you to provide us with your tax information and to process the certificates. Remember that the benefits apply to the last fiscal year in progress, and that the minimum donation amount for the same NGO must be 10 euros to complete the process.

Of course!! We will frequently send you information that the entities send us about where the funds obtained with your rounding have been destined. At the end of the year, we will send you the corresponding report of all the entities with which you have collaborated.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of people around the world. In 2015, all UN Member States adopted 17 Goals as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets out a plan to achieve the Goals in 15 years.

In this link we are updating the information of the entities with which we collaborate. Our goal is to be 100% transparent and when you need more information, you can write us to ask for it.
